English for Architecture and Engineering is a compulsory subject, which corresponds to the general training cycle of the Bachelor’s degrees in Architecture and Engineering offered at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). It is the fourth course in the English as a Foreign Language Curriculum offered in PUCMM and the sixth course in the sequence constituted by ILE-103-T Basic English I, ILE-203-T Basic English I, ILE-205-T English I,ILE-303-T English II, ILE-305-T English III, and the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) (in this case, ILE-494).

This advanced 56-hour course is designed for students who to consolidate their communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It focuses on developing students’ lexicon relevant to the field of Architecture and Engineering, and on practicing English in the different situations students will encounter in their professional and social settings.
